Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 June 2026
This policy explains how Segmentum collects and uses your personal information, and the rights you have under UK data protection law: the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Segmentum ("Segmentum", "we", "us" or "our") is the trading name of MJ Capital International Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16315520), with its registered office at 5 Ashcourt, Leeds, LS14 6GL.
We are a UK-based fractional CTO consultancy, working with established UK businesses across sectors including manufacturing, logistics, construction, professional services, SaaS, PropTech and EdTech.
We are the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC031260.
For any questions, contact us at hello@segmentum.io.
2. The information we collect
We only collect what we need. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:
• Enquiry details - your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us when you contact us through the website or by email.
• Clarity Score diagnostic - your answers to our Technology Estate Diagnostic at clarity.segmentum.io, along with the contact details you provide.
• Usage and device data - limited technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view, collected through cookies and analytics (see section 5).
We don't intentionally collect special category data (such as health, ethnicity or political views), and we ask that you don't send us any.
3. How we use your information, and our lawful basis
Under the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal information. We rely on:
• To respond to your enquiry and provide our services - taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing our contract with you.
• To follow up on enquiries and tell you about our services - your consent, and/or our legitimate interests.
• To run and improve our website - your consent for analytics cookies, and our legitimate interests.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations - legal obligation and legitimate interests.
You can withdraw consent, or object to processing based on legitimate interests, at any time (see section 8).
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted suppliers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it:
• Framer - hosts our website and processes form submissions.
• ScoreApp - runs our Clarity Score diagnostic.
• Google (Google Analytics) - provides website analytics.
• Microsoft (Microsoft 365) - our email and productivity tools, used to correspond with you.
Each acts as our data processor and must keep your information secure and use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are essential to make the site work; others, including Google Analytics, help us understand how the site is used. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work as well without them.
6. Sending information outside the UK
Some of our suppliers, including Framer and Google, are based in or store data in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it's protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it:
• Enquiries that don't become work - up to 24 months from our last contact, then deleted.
• Client records - for the duration of our relationship and up to 6 years afterwards, to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
• Analytics data - retained for the period set in our analytics tools.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: ask for a copy of the information we hold about you; have inaccurate information corrected; ask us to delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; ask us to transfer it to another provider; and withdraw any consent you've given.
To exercise any of these, email hello@segmentum.io. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
9. How we protect your information
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect it and to limit who can access it.
10. Children
Our website and services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information about children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version here and update the date at the top.
12. Contact us
